To be honest, I think our project is perfect what we do. I love this game so much. Unfortunately, we must stop this game coz the damn weather. Tim thought that we should do something to save our project. We intended to design some illustration or somthing that we can do. Not bad! Our Group is brilliant!
Yesterday, I went to New bond street for a reseach of my essay. The show is about Dale Chihuly’s glass sculptrue. that is amazing!!! I love his work so much and the colour on his work is briliant and crazy!
MY Broken gift ___Clock
To be honest, this is my clock taht I thought at the beginning of this idea.
There is no doubt that is not a perfect good.
I payed too much attention on the theme, so I ignore that is a commercial project. It leads a correct way to do this design.
It makes me upset that Fabian deny this work. But, I learnt to get the point of every project.
My idea is from the first picture. It makes me thinking what the time is.
Time is a gift for everyone, because of time, we could do what we want, say what we were not say, accompany with the people we loved. At same times, time is objective and it’s fair to everybody. What a ruthless truth. As time gong by, wo lost our pure childhood, we walk in a dfferent way to our friends and part away them, time leaves winkle on mom’s face, dady’s pace begin to slow gradually. Some times, we feel useless to face this change. The only way is to cherish. To cherish our friends, to cherish our parents, to cherish everything we have now, to cherish broken time.
When I decided to use this idea, I payed much attention in broken research. To day I did some research about gift, I will post that tomorrow.
Study hard in English these day, be better, better,better
My first idea is making a jet leg clock and I also did research in the internet. Then I found a cute picture that baby yawns; and it absorb my interest to design a big mouth which is dirty and food residue abound between teeth.
Andy Goldthworthy’s leaves work which expresses life is one of my favourite work. It gives me an idea that using different colour of leaves to indicate time or stage. But, when I was drawing, I was too lazy to give up drawing by colour(drawing by color pen?? not clear and i don’t have so many similar colour. computer??bad skill). So, I think the count of branch is a good way to indicate time. Pocker face clock? I heard someone else has this idea and I think that development in this idea is limit. However, it reminds me time count could replaced by money account. Does this too shallow?
I had no intention of doing much research of antique clock shop. In fact,while I was rounded by high price antique clock, I reminded myself that don’t brake them those are more expensive than me. just a jock!! The antique clock seems not needed for our project but it has me think about the chest that we saw in postmodernism show in V&A. How about making a postmodernist clock by a cheap old style clock?
Patrick advised me to do some private research. yeah
but I’m not so clear about how to do coz I ignored the theme of clock. I’m not sure~
Spring
Spring reminds me traditional Chinese spring festival. I took this firecracker which stands for this festival and postmodernist colour collocation for combination in my jewellery work. Springs transfer firecracker branches. I filled colourful plasticine in springs for colour. I hope this necklace would give us a happy but modernist emotion.
Toy of Kites
In this project, I aimed at making a toy for group activity. Kite is traditional toy and populared by the mass in China. Flying kites was my favourite activities as well.
In fact, kite is a group toy, so, I made this kites for families. It is played seprate or together by three people.
